Bea Alonzo, Carla Abellana, and Gabbi Garcia are set to appear in the new Kapuso series Widows' War.
One of GMA-7's prime-time shows this year, Widows' War is believed to be a sequel of Widows' Web, a 2022 Kapuso series with a similar premise, based on a side-by-side comparison of their trailers.
Widows' War has an intriguing tagline that poses the question, "What could be more perilous than widows embroiled in a ruthless war?" as hinted by a promotional teaser.
While specific details remain under wraps, the series promises to deliver a gripping experience.
Additionally, Widows' War marks the first collaboration of Bea, Carla, and Gabbi.
At press time, the three ladies are the only cast members that have been revealed in the recently released trailer. Even the main storyline is yet to be announced.
As we wait for more details to be revealed, PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) looks back at the notable projects of the show's three female leads.

Her first audition was for a role in Zorro back in 2009, but Carla got more than she asked for when GMA-7 cast her in the titular role of Rosalinda, the network's Philippine adaptation of the beloved Mexican drama series top-billed by Mexican singer-actress Thalia.
This role endeared Carla to Filipino viewers, and the rest was history.

The crime series centers around Jack (Ruru Madrid), who, along with his dog Serena, investigates the mysterious events that occur in their lives, including the troubles faced by his friend Lily (Gabbi).

The collaboration was said to signal the end of network wars.
This gave Gabbi the opportunity to star alongside Joshua Garcia, Richard Yap, and Jodi Sta. Maria, among other cast members from both networks.
The series, which premiered in 2023, involves a woman's search for her estranged husband and the daughter she left behind.
