Pagkatapos koronahan bilang 67th Miss Universe, pinagpahinga muna si Catriona Gray sa Royal Suite ng Dusit Hotel bago humarap sa mga miyembro ng media dahil kulang na kulang siya sa tulog.
Ito ang balitang ipinarating sa Cabinet Files ng TV5 entertainment reporter na si MJ Marfori, na nag-cover ng Miss Universe sa Bangkok, Thailand, Lunes ng umaga, December 17.
Sandali lang ang pahinga ni Catriona dahil kailangan siya sa live interview sa kanya ni Noli de Castro sa TV Patrol, ang ABS-CBN prime-time newscast, na napanood ngayong gabi.
Dito sinabi ni Catriona na hindi pa niya alam kung kailan siya babalik sa Pilipinas at kung saan niya ipagdiriwang ang Pasko.
“We have yet to discuss it but I wanna be wherever my family is. Christmas with my family is so important to me because I’m really close with my parents.
“They live away from me so this is the time I usually spend with them so I just wanna be with them whether it be Philippines, New York, wherever,” sabi ni Catriona kay Noli.
Kasabay ng pagkapanalo ni Catriona ay lumikha rin ng ingay ang sagot niya sa tanong ng pageant host na si Steve Harvey tungkol sa legalization ng marijuana.
Ang sagot ni Catriona: "I am for it being used for medical use, but not so for recreational use because I think if people will argue, then what about alcohol and cigarettes? Everything is good but in moderation."
Isa si Kabayan Party List House Representative Ron Salo sa pabor sa matapang na posisyon ni Catriona hinggil sa medical marijuana.
Makakatulong daw kasi ang sagot ni Catriona sa House Bill 6517—o The Act Providing Filipinos Right of Access to Medical Marijuana—na isinusulong ni Salo at iba pa niyang mga kasama sa Kongreso.
Sabi ni Salo, “We thank her for her stand on medical marijuana or cannabis, for which there is House Bill 6517 already approved by the House Committee on Health."
Sa kasalukuyan ay itinuturing na ilegal na droga ang marijuana sa bansa.
