How come a lot of heartthrobs are single?
Possibly, they lead busy and demanding lives, making it a challenge for them to maintain long-term relationships.
Maybe it has something to do with intense public scrutiny?
Or is it simply because it's not yet the right time, or they have not found the right one?
This list is about celebrity heartthrobs in their 30s who are still single.
JAKE EJERCITO, 32
ASB-CBN actor Jake Ejercito has not been linked to any woman—whether in rumors or official reports—for a while.
Certainly, Jake won't be flexing anyone on his Instagram feed anytime soon, except for Ellie, his 11-year-old daughter with former girlfriend Andi Eigenmann.
During a digital press conference back in June 2022, the Kapamilya heartthrob stressed that his current priorities do not include having a girlfriend or starting a family.
He said, "I don’t think about it. I’m okay with where I am now. I’m content with Ellie, so not in the near future."
In addition to spending time with Ellie, the actor is busy with various projects in the Kapamilya network.
Over the past two years, Jake starred in three drama series including Marry Me, Marry You (2021), The Broken Marriage Vow (2022), and A Family Affair (2022).

ALDEN RICHARDS, 31
Throughout the years, GMA-7 actor Alden Richards has been romantically linked to various stunning showbiz personalities, such as Maine Mendoza, Winwyn Marquez, Julie Anne San Jose, and Sam Pinto, but none of these relationships developed further.
During an interview with PEP.ph in October 2020, Alden mentioned that he plans to prioritize his love life once the COVID-19 pandemic is over.
Alden said, "Eventually, siyempre, everything will be back to normal. Kailangan nating i-prioritize iyon kasi, I’m not getting any younger...
"Nasa top priority naman siya, pero sa ngayon, chill muna ngayong may pandemic pa."
But according to Alden, he is not placing any pressure on himself, and is not pursuing a relationship solely for the sake of being in one.
In a separate interview with PEP.ph two years later, he said, "Again, sa Filipino culture kasi, we're a culture of deadlines. Trust me, I know, lola ko ganyan, e.
"Yung parang at a certain age, 'Dapat ganito ka na.' Sabi ko, 'La, 2022 na, iba na ang takbo ng buhay ngayon.'
"So, darating din iyan, wag ka mag-alala."

JM DE GUZMAN, 34
For a period of seven years now, JM de Guzman has remained unattached. His most publicized relationship was with Kapamilya actress Jessy Mendiola.
The two Kapamilya stars called it quits in 2015, and ,at present, Jessy now has her own family with her husband, actor/host Luis Manzano.
JM was also linked to his Init sa Magdamag leading lady Barbie Imperial while they were working on the said Kapamilya series, but their relationship didn't push through.
He was later named in a third-party allegation involving former couple Kylie Padilla and Aljur Abrenica. Kylie, however, clarified that there's no truth to the rumors.
In April 2021, JM opened up to Boy Abunda about why he opted to staying single.
The actor said he wanted to focus on his work and career first, as a way of expressing his gratitude to the Kapamilya network for trusting him with a lead role in the prime-time series Init Sa Magdamag.
"Gusto ko munang pahalagahan ito na binigay sa akin at maging okay na tao," he said.
During the interview, JM also expressed his desire to build his dream home for his future family prior to committing to a stable relationship.
Back in October 2022, JM admitted to PEP.ph that he was attracted to Donnalyn Bartolome.
He revealed, "May gusto ako sa kanya. Isa niya akong tagahanga. Nanliligaw? Sana, nagpaparamdam."

JAKE CUENCA, 35
Jake Cuenca announced in an Instagram post on April 23, 2022, that he and Miss International 2016 Kylie Verzosa had mutually agreed to end their romantic relationship after three years of being together.
In his post, Jake said he is content that they regard each other as friends even after ending their romantic involvement.
He wrote, "I’m still so proud of us because we didn’t want to break up in anger.
"We both wanted to be able to look back on our relationship with no bitterness, no anger, and no regrets, only the good memories. Certainly that’s what I will be holding on to.
"I will still be here to support you because in so many ways I feel a part of your journey and I will always pray for your success.
"I’m happy we were able to finish this chapter of our lives the same way we started it. As friends."
At present, there are no reports on whether Jake is pursuing a romantic relationship with anyone.

SAM CONCEPCION, 30
Little is known about Sam Concepcion's current love life.
Following his breakup with Kiana Valenciano in April 2018, there have been no reports of the VIVA Artist Agency talent having a new relationship.
Before being in a relationship with Kiana, Sam had been romantically involved with Jasmine Curtis-Smith, who has been in a committed relationship with her non-showbiz boyfriend Jeff Ortega for seven years.
During Sam's teenage years, he was also linked to his on-screen partners Cheska Ortega and Coleen Garcia.

MARTIN DEL ROSARIO, 30
Not much is known about Martin del Rosario's dating history.
But in an interview with entertainment columnist Allan Diones for his YouTube talk show 2NYTwithAllanD back in September 2020, Martin revealed he has been single for two years.
"Wala. Tagal na. Walang love life," the Kapuso actor admitted.
He continued, "Parang more than... Magtu-two years na."
In the same interview, Martin said his last relationship was with a non-showbiz personality. The actor also noted his preference for being in a romantic relationship with someone who is not in the entertainment industry.
He explained to Allan, "Wala po akong naging girlfriend na showbiz po. Napapraning ako kapag may showbiz na love life. Parang pakiramdam ko naka-magnifying glass. Ganu'n."
Nothing has been reported about the actor's relationship status following the interview.

KEN CHAN, 30
Ken Chan has been keeping his relationship status under wraps for quite some time.
But the Kapuso actor admitted to having had four girlfriends.
In November 2016, Ken revealed to PEP.ph that he broke up with his non-showbiz girlfriend of “one year and eight months" while still taping for the afternoon drama series Destiny Rose.
Asked what he is like as as a boyfriend, he said, "Yung parang ibibigay mo lahat. Actually, yun ang problema ko din, e. Ibibigay ko lahat, pero kapag nabigay mo na parang nakakasawa."
Ken also revealed that he prefers someone older than him.
He said, “Gusto ko mas matanda. Naalala ko nung second year high school ako, nagkaroon ako ng girlfriend na second year college. Alam ko ang agwat namin nun, six years, e.”
Ken was once linked to Bea Binene and Rita Daniela.

ENCHONG DEE, 34
Enchong Dee has remained single for a period of seven years.
The ABS-CBN actor/host has had no record of a relationship since 2016, following his breakup with Filipino-British model Samantha Lewis.
Enchong shared with PEP.ph in January 2019 that he had refrained from entering into any romantic relationships after his split with Samantha.
He explained, "I rested. I rested for about three years. You need also the time para to rest, and give yourself more value and importance.
"Siyempre bakasyon, di ba, puwede kong gawin na sarili kong bakasyon lang. Wala kang dapat paalamanan o kailangan mong mag-update lagi. Sarili mo lang talaga.
"So far, nag-e-enjoy naman ako na ganito."
He added, "Ewan ko, pero parang ang pakiramdam ko, mas maganda ang buhay ko kapag wala.
"Pakiramdam ko, mas marami akong na-a-achieve dahil alam akong dapat pag-report-an."

CHRISTIAN BABLES, 30
Christian Bables, like Enchong, has been without a partner for seven years.
The Kapamilya actor deliberately chose to focus on his acting career after ending his relationship with a non-showbiz girlfriend in 2016.
"Huwag muna. Ayoko muna, nakakapaso, e," he told PEP.ph in an interview last August 2018.
Since then, Christian has starred in several movies, including Finally Found Someone (2018), Signal Rock (2018), The Panti Sisters (2019), The Bekis On The Run (2021), Big Night! (2021), and Mahal Kita Beksman (2022).
He also got busy with TV projects such as Halik (2018) and Mars Ravelo's Darna (2022). Currently, Christian is one of the lead stars of the top-rating Kapamilya prime-time drama series Dirty Linen.

JAMES REID, 30
James Reid has been single and out of the dating scene for over two years since his breakup with actress Nadine Lustre.
During the inaugural Gold House Gala in Los Angeles, California, held on May 21, 2022, the singer-actor spoke to Pacific Rim Video Press and revealed that he isn't planning on entering a relationship anytime soon.
He said, "I'm not really interested right now. I've been trying to stay single for as long as possible just because there's a lot that I'm trying to do right now.
"I got out of a four-year relationship so, you know, I'm just trying to do me, be happy being me for a while."
