Catriona Gray made her first Instagram post as Miss Universe hours after her coronation.
Reliving her crowning moment in a series of photos, Catriona looked back on the dream her mother had for her when she was 13.
The caption began, "When I was 13, my mum told me 'Honey, I dreamt of you winning @missuniverse in a red dress.'
"At that time I thought nothing of it, and today my mother's dream came true..."
This post has reached over 1.3 million likes so far.

Videos of Catriona's parents, Mita and Ian, witnessing their daughter being crowned Miss Universe went viral on social media.
And just like her daughter, mom Mita was wearing red as well.
ABS-CBN reporter Dyan Castillejo captured the moment, both parents in tears.
From the audience, Michael Strahan also recorded and shared the moment via @MikeInCambodia on Twitter.
Catriona has always drawn strength from her parents.
Early this month when the beauty queen was en route to Bangkok, Thailand, she made sure to give a special shout-out to them on Instagram.
The post read, "Venturing off on an adventure of a lifetime and my thoughts turn back to the people who believed in me since the very beginning.
"Mum @mitagray and Dad, thank you for always lifting me up and guiding me to become the woman I am today..."
