Unang napabalita ang kanilang rumored romance noong 2020.
The pair recently came under the watchful eyes of the netizens after posting photos from the Harry Styles concert.
Before Issa, marami pang ibang na-link kay James. Ang ilan sa kanila ay totong nakarelasyon ng binata, habang may rin na na-link lang talaga.

Around 2010 nagsimula ang relasyon nina Ericka at James. Ayon sa panayam ng dalaga with PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) on October 30, 2014, “Three and a half years kami. We were very in love.
“A lot of people saw our relationship bloom, marami ang humanga.
“Even though it wasn’t onscreen or anything, but a lot of people love us together.”
They officially broke up March of the same year. Ericka said may closure naman, and James admitted it was a bad breakup.
Devon Seron
Nabuo ang love team nina James at Devon pagkatapos nilang lumabas ng Bahay ni Kuya sa Pinoy Big Brother: Teen Clash 2010. Matatandaang si James ang naging Grand Winner during that season.

Ayon sa isang fan na tinanggihang makakuha ng litrato with them, allegedly ay busy si James kay Julia.
"...He's so occupied kissing and flirting [with] Julia Barretto [at] that time. Kulang na lang kasi mag-sex sila sa harapan namin," ayon pa sa Facebook post ng netizen under the name Inah Evans.

Nagsimula ang kanilang pagkakamabutihan dahil sa kanilang pair-up sa Diary ng Panget at Talk Back and You're Dead, which both premiered in 2014.
What was seen as a relationship going strong eventually ended during the start of the pandemic in 2020.

Agad namang pinabulaanan ng binata ang speculations na boyfriend niya ang huli.
“Is true?” ang tanging naging pabirong comment ni James online nang makita ang video.
"That was my business partner, his name is also James, James Thomas. I was just, like, messing around, having fun. Brotherly love, ayun," pagpapaliwanag ni James sa kanyang panayam with PEP.ph last May 2022.
"James is very much amused by the reactions, we're happy that you're happy for his new relationship, but sadly, no, #JaJa is not true," dagdag pa niyang paliwanag on his Facebook post last May 13, 2022.

Sa kasagsagan ng JaDine breakup at paglabas ng mga tsismis na si Issa Pressman ang alleged third party na naging mitsa ng hiwalayan ng dalawa, nadamay ang nananahimik na si Iza.
Noong January, may isang netizen ang nag-post sa Facebook ng kanyang litrato kalakip ng isang caption, “Kung totoo man ang issue, sana masaya ka sa ginawa mo kay James and Nadine! [three snake emojis]”
Apparently, the netizens poked fun at the name similarities kaya nagkaroon ng mix-up.
To which Iza replied through her Instagram Story, “People of the Philippines, Anong kaguluhan ito??? Hahaha!

Issa Pressman
Matatandaang una silang na-tsismis na nagsimulang maging magkarelasyon noong 2020, ngunit pinabulaanan ito ng dalawa.
James even said in one of his posts in early March 2023, “I’m only gonna say this once. The past rumors about Issa are just that, rumors.”
But three years later, na-link ulit ang dalawa, but this time, ani James sa kanyang Twitter post on March 18, 2023, “To my fans, All you need to know from me is that I’m the happiest I’ve ever been [heart emoji’]”
Tila follow-up niya ito sa post ni Issa noong March 17 na makikitang magka-holding hands sila ni James.
